1948
Palabora Global can trace its roots back to a rich history in the vermiculite industry. Incorporated in the USA in 1948, we joined The Vermiculite Association (TVA) two years later, demonstrating our commitment to collaboration and advancement within the vermiculite industry.
1964
By 1964, we reached a remarkable milestone in terms of growth, producing over 100,000 tonnes of vermiculite annually. To meet growing demand in the market, we further expanded our production capacity, doubling our production to over 200,000 tonnes by the 1970s.
Today
Today, we remain an industry leader in the global market, contributing over 180,000 metric tonnes of high-quality crude vermiculite annually. We are also one of a small number of mining operations that is ISO Certified.
